Sandwich Bread Recipe


You don't need a sandwich just for a sandwich; So you run too much. With this recipe, you can conjure up happily fresh bread. In fact, you can make the batter ahead of time, freeze it, and pour it into the pan when you're ready to bake.

2 baking sheets (8 x 4 inches).


1. Cover the loaf pans with plenty of butter and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, evenly mix together the flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
3. Mix melted butter with warm water; add to dry ingredients and mix until moist and sticky. Cover the bowl with a floured napkin and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 ¾ hours.
4. Next, remove the napkin, grease your hands with butter and squeeze the dough to dump it. Divide the dough into two equal parts and place on baking sheets.
5. Place the oven rack in the center of the oven. Then preheat to 375°F.
6. Leave the uncovered ramekins in the same warm spot and leave to rise for 40 minutes or until the batter reaches the rims of the ramekins.
7. Place the trays in the oven. Then bake for 40 minutes or until golden on the surface.
8. Remove pans and immediately brush with melted butter; Transfer the loaves to the wire rack to cool completely.
9. Slice and use for sandwiches.
